Award-winning journalist Marisa Palmieri joins PCO Bookkeepers and Turfbooks as a reporter for the companies’ websites and e-newsletters. “We are so excited to have Marisa to join the team,” said Dan Gordon, CEO of the accounting / consulting firm. “While PCO Bookkeepers and Turf Books are dedicated to providing accounting, bookkeeping and CFO services we have also become the go-to consulting firm for thought leadership on financial and operational issues in the pest and lawn care industries. Marisa’s integrated editorial and content creation skills will allow us to better communicate our industry intelligence and further solidify our position as the pest and lawn care industry thought leaders.”
Palmieri has 15 years of experience as a business-to-business (B2B) media writer and editor, most recently as editor-in-chief of Landscape Management magazine and editorial director for its parent company North Coast Media, whose flagship brands also include Pest Management Professional (PMP), LP Gas, Pit & Quarry, GPS World, and Golfdom. North Coast is also the publisher of “From Technician To CEO: The Evolution of a High-Growth Pest Control and Lawn Care Company,” written by our own Dan Gordon.
“Helping small business owners get the information they need is the best thing about my career so far in business-to-business media,” Palmieri says. “I’m excited to continue that work as a reporter for PCO Bookkeepers and Turfbooks, and I’m looking forward to working with Dan and his team to help their clients in the pest and lawn industries run better companies.”
Palmieri graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University Scripps School of Journalism and has won numerous awards for her work from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, Folio: magazine, the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association and the Press Club of Cleveland. She lives in the Cleveland area with her husband, Mike, and daughters Sadie and Paige.
